The Cobra Lily (Darlingtonia californica) is a rare carnivorous plant with purple flowers and hooded leaves. It is found in wet meadows and boggy seeps in serpentine and coastal areas of Oregon and Northern California. The Western Azalea (Rhododendron occidentale) prefers the moist but well drained edges of the seeps.
